It's that ancient love

First of all hey 40 followers! That's quite exciting for me, it's nice to know that after 6 months of writing my blog some people like to read it! I would however like to know what you want from my posts, I personally like posts on blogs that include some of the bloggers personal style and what they get up to, but maybe that's just because I'm a nosey person!

SO today I went on a bike ride with my good friends Lanta and Lucy, the original idea was that we were going to take pictures, but looking back I don't really have any, but I was vain enough to get Lanta to take some of me for here! Oh and I'm trying to work on my outfit posts to make them more interesting instead of just being stood in my bedroom, my problem is that I'm the only one in the family that can really work a camera so if any one has any tips they would be much appreciated!

So, there has been some debate over this dress. Now in retrospect I don't think the pictures on that page do it justice. The debate is over me wanting to take some off the length and remove the collar, my. My nan (she helps me with the alterations and so on so I don't mess everything up) says to just leave it as it is. I think that it looks lovely as it is but I would never have the occasion to wear it in its current state, so my question is should I leave it as it is and let it be a lovely vintage find or should I alter it and make it more wearable?

Okay, so these are my shots from yesterday, not quite as dramatic as the post below. Thank you for all the comments! I want to take more pictures as I really enjoy it, I've set myself up a flickr and I'm trying to work out how to use it, so be on the look out for more projects soon.

A few photo's from today, I'm in a bit of a mood because I can't get pictures to turn out how I want them, although I liked the ones I took today. Pictures just don't seem to turn out how I want them to. I'll figure out a way ha. (these pictures were taken by my friend lanta, I might feature my ones, I don't know yet)

I'm very excited for the re launch of Biba at House of Fraser. I watched a documentary on the iconic shop a few years ago and was distraught that I wouldn't be able to own anything from there, but now here's my chance! After looking at some of the collection on their website I doubt I'll be able to afford much, which seems like the opposite of Biba's original ethos. It'll be interesting to see how it is reinvented for 2010. If you haven't heard of Biba I would definitely recommend looking it up, I personally think it's really interesting how it led the way for shops like Topshop today.

I didn't tell anyone, but a bird flew by

So I'm off to school tomorrow to begin my first year of gcse's (In case anyone's interesting I've taken triple science express, french, latin, media and photography). I'm currently panicking because I don't think I have anything I need, the only thing I got in preparation were some new shoes. So far I have two pens, a pencil and a calculator. Oh well never mind.

Yesterday I went to the beach with Amelia to go in the sea for the last time of the summer, actually it was the first time I'd been in the sea this summer! We spent the day playing Frisbee and swimming.
